Hi friends! Happy Wednesday! Can you believe summer officially starts this Saturday? Now that Pittsburgh is in the green phase, we’re starting to see businesses reopen, including our local malls. With summer vacation a few short months away, Dan and I thought we’d swing by the mall and see what kind of sales were going on. Naturally, a stop over at Loft was in order! Our local Loft is not permitting customers to try-on clothes at this time, so I brought home a few items to share with you all. I wasn’t sure how things were going to fit, specifically with some of the bottoms. For reference, I’m typically a size 0 or XS. Okay, let’s get going ….
This floral top with its pops of yellows and corals is so cheery! It just makes me smile. It’s flowy, yet comfortable and can easily be dressed up or down. It is slightly on the sheer side, but not enough that you need to wear a cami underneath. A neutral colored bra was what I wore and it was fine. As for the chino shorts, they’re of nice quality! They’re made mostly of cotton with a touch of spandex. I feel they fit slightly large (especially in the leg opening), but not enough for me to want to size down. Loft offers them in a 4″, 6″ (what I’m wearing) and 8″ length, so you can select what length works best for you. They’re available in: Black, Milky Tan, White, Grey, Green, Sun Washed Clay (the color I’ve got on), Fuchsia Pink, Azurine Blue and Seafoam Blue!

If you love vibrant colors – do I have a fabulous cardigan for you! Fabricated of 100% cotton, this floral V-neck cardigan is soft and so comfortable. I love it on its own, but you could certain slip it over a tank top or cami or layer it over a dress. The long sleeves are perfect if you don’t feel comfortable showing off your arms. Also, it’s a nice option to keep you comfortable in an air conditioned office or for a chilly summer night. The shorts I’m wearing are the same Riviera style in a 6″ inseam.

Feminine, floaty and so pretty! This floral cami is perfect to wear on its own or layered under your favorite cardigan or jacket. And thank you Loft for making adjustable spaghetti straps!
How FUN are these girlfriend chinos with frayed cuffs! And the color! LOVE. So pretty. I opted to go up one size and am wearing a 2. To me, it felt more comfortable in a bigger size – especially in the waistline area. Design features include a front zip with hook-and-bar closure. It comes with belt loops, front slash pockets and rear welt pockets.

On to the next outfit, starting off with this pretty textured smocked top. It has a relaxed fit, but it’s not boxy. Details include soft elastic at the arms, scoop neckline and banding at the hemline. It has these subtle raised dots for added texture. It’s made of a poly-rayon blend. I’m wearing the ballet blush (coral-color), but it also comes in white and gray. Team with shorts for laid-back fun or these chinos for a casual weekday style. Speaking of which, I love the laid back vibe of these chinos. With a soft and stretchy cotton blend for all-day comfort, they fit nicely. The rolled cuff allows you to show off your favorite sandal. I kept with my regular size, but you could also size up for a slightly more relaxed fit.

Are you a jumpsuit fan? If so, Loft has a nice selection. Dan actually picked this one out for me to try. The pretty fluted sleeves and the low back with tie detail will certainly grab all the attention. Added bonus – it has pockets! This style is perfect to take you to that summer wedding (we’ve got one next month) or for dining alfresco.

How sweet is this striped shell people!?! 😀 Look at the feminine ruffle cap sleeve details! And of course, I will never walk away from a stripe! It’s made of rayon and has a very fluid feel. The length of this top is nice, too. Good for tucking into your favorite bottoms – shorts, jeans, pants and skirts – this top can take you from work to weekend.
I wanted to love these Chambray Riviera Pants, but I couldn’t get past the cropped, straight leg. It just wasn’t working for me. Aside from that however, every other detail to these pants was on-point. Love the flat-front (no bulk) fit – very tailored look.

Love the color combo of this floral top! With it’s short dolman-style sleeves and ballet neckline, this floaty, feminine blouse is just the right style to be paired with skinny jeans or shorts and taken for a stroll on the boardwalk. In this look, I’m wearing my Loft white jeans from a previous season. However, Loft does have some great white denim options available online and in-store. Check ’em out!
