Loft Try-on Session – May 2019

Hi everyone! The Loft is having a Love Moms Sale where you can receive 40% off by using the code: LOVEMOM (some exclusions apply). So, I thought a try-on session would be the perfect way to kick-off our Friday and Mother’s Day weekend! Unless otherwise specified, items run TTS (normal sizing for the Loft).

Outfit Details: Polka Dot Blouse (wearing an XS) // White Girlfriend Chino (wearing a 0). This peachy blouse is lightweight and perfect for Spring and Summer. Love the exaggerated cuff detail. I can see this with jeans and sandals for a daytime look or with dress pants and a stacked heel for a work appropriate ensemble. Normally with the Loft, I need to size down in my bottoms and these chino’s were no different. They are very comfortable and have just a enough stretch for easy movement. Again, I could see these chino’s easily dressed up or down, depending on the occasion. Also, the material is thick enough where no undergarments were visible.

Outfit Details: Lou & Gray Shirt Dress (wearing an XS) Okay, this dress is not only stinkin’ cute, but is very comfy! Cute story – I stepped out of my fitting room in this dress and a fellow Loft shopper in the dressing room next to mine loved it so much, that she had to try one on, as well. It’s lightweight, defines the waistline and can take you from work to weekend with a few accessory swaps. Love, love, love!

Outfit Details: Floral Garden Kimono (wearing XS/S) // Unfortunately this style kimono is sold out in regular sizes, but is available in plus sizing (which I linked). The Loft does offer a few similar options, which I’ve linked here and here. If you are one of the lucky ones to pick up this kimono or selected a similar option, I think you’ll find plenty of uses for it. I would love to see this over a simple tank top and cropped skinnies. Or try it as a cover-up over a bathing suit with some sandals and sunglasses! Nice! 🙂

Outfit Details: Floral Romper (wearing a Small – no XS was available – I would normally wear the XS) // Long Blazer (wearing size 0). This green floral romper is the most darling piece. For me, being 5’6, rompers tend to be too short, but I thought this provided good length and coverage. I love the v-neckline and bonus – it has pockets! As for the blazer, even though I was wearing a size 0, it still felt huge on me, especially in the sleeves. The sleeve length was pretty long (and I like to think I have long arms). :/ I probably could’ve gotten away with a petite in the blazer. But, I love the look of a blazer over a romper. Adorable.

Outfit Details: Flutter Sleeve Floral Top (wearing an XS) // Cuffed Skinny Cropped Jeans (wearing a 0). With this floral top, if you prefer more of a loose look, I would say size up. This top can easily be a work-horse in your wardrobe. Wear it under a blazer with pencil skirt and heels for an office-appropriate ensemble. Or, pair it with shorts and sandals for a day at the park. The jeans are extremely comfortable, but note that they have A LOT of stretch. Size down. Also, while the Loft describes them as “cropped”, unless you are blessed with long legs, they are not truly a cropped jean. I’m 5’6 and you can see where they hit me. You can certainly roll the cuff higher to achieve a true cropped look, however. The jeans have a slightly higher waistline, which I like and the mid indigo wash is the perfect blue jean color. They are quickly becoming my go-to jean for Spring.

Outfit Details: Striped Twisted Tee (wearing an XS) // Same jeans as above. This top is adorable with jeans (or shorts). It is made of 100% breathable cotton, so it’s going to be the perfect piece for summer days. So cute!

To all the mom’s out there, I hope you have a wonderful Mother’s Day! Whatever the day brings you, may it be as fabulous as you are! Thanks for stopping by. XO ~ Michelle
